Uminka is a tall, big bodied mare who competed up to the 1.20m's with an amateur. She has an incredible temperament, is very patient, kind and easy to handle, and takes the utmost care of her riders. She passes this on to her offspring, which are excelling as amateur horses who are taking their riders up the levels. Her 2008 son, Deno, went on to be a para dressage horse.
Uminka's sire Calvados has many successful offspring at the international level and is well known as a great broodmare sire, including on the motherline of Ian Millars Olympic mount Star Power. He produces good jumpers with excellent rhythm who jump in very good form.
Uminka's dam side is impressive as she comes from the same motherline as Totilas, one of the greatest dressage horses in the world. With Nimmerdor and Viola in her dam line, Uminka is producing gorgeous, correct foals from dressage stallions, and consistently passes on her oustanding temperament.
