KVF made the journey
down to San Juan Capistrano for three weeks of great showing in
sunny California from March 28 - April 15. Tacorde was right on
form with several clear rounds or one rail rounds in the 1.40m
and 1.45m and then the last day was a big one with just one time
fault in the $50,000 1.50m Grand Prix! Once again
Tacorde is doing his job week in and
week out, remember he is available to breed to and is a very
competitive international jumper available right here in
Canada!! Zeno has made the switch
to the hunter ring and is being campaigned by a great rider
named Bud Wolf, in his second week of showing he placed in every
class entered became reserve champion 3'6" performance hunter!
Anthony one of our home breds gained much experience in the
jumper ring moving up each week and placing consistently in the
top 5, he is one to watch for in the future! And the one student
who made the long journey had a great show placing many times
and moving up she rides one of our past sales horses Uminka. |

Well here at KVF we
have had a busy first quarter of 2012. The young sales horses
have gotten out to their first schooling shows the spruce
meadows welcome series and now the first show of the year is
history. Tacorde and Tempranillo competed at Spruce meadows
winter farewell and both where right on form for a big show
season in 2012! Tacorde did the two Grand Prix's and had a
double clear and one rail in the Sunday class and jumped very
well. Tempranillo had a double clear in the 1.20m and then was
2nd in the mini prix! Both boys are available to breed to
Tacorde has excellent quality frozen to back up the fresh when
he is competing and we will be freezing Tempranillo at the end
of April as he will have a busy show season this year as well. |

We are located near Red
Deer Alberta on Hwy 20, 7 Km's North of Sylvan Lake .
From Hwy 2
take Hwy 11A to Sylvan Lake and at the round-about turn North
on Hwy 20. Go 7 km North and we are on the Left hand side 1/2 km past Aspelund Rd. or
if you are coming from the North you can take the Blackfalds/Joffre turnoff
west off of Hwy 2 on Aspelund Rd. to Hwy 20 and at the stop sign
(which is 15 km approx.) turn north and it is 1/2 km down
the hill on the left hand side. There is a big sign
out front and a gate halfway up the driveway.
