Zeno
is an elegant long legged stallion with excellent conformation. His movement is
extremely impressive with a ton of suspension and reach. He has a very supple,
over-reaching walk, his trot has a lot of freedom from the shoulder and great
push from behind and his canter is rhythmical with a lot of lift in the front
end. Zeno’s jumping ability is equally impressive with his knees to his
chin with a lot of suppleness in the air and he finishes his jump very well from
behind.
Zeno
keeps impressing with his great trainability and athleticism and
already in 2011 he has had some great results in the ring with a 2nd
place in the 1.15m mini prix at Spruce Meadows and then moved up at
Brandon and did the 1.30m open welcome where he was 8th. He was very lightly shown in 2010 due to breeding
commitments but was still very consistently placing in the top 10 up
to 1.15m jumpers. He always tries very hard to please in both his
day to day training as well as in the jumper ring. Both top level
Dressage riders and Jumper riders have commented that he has the
ability to go to the top of their chosen discipline. Zeno
participated in the CWB SPT in 2009 and although came into it late
as he was at the Western Canadian jumper finals he still became
reserve champion! He has also earned his Bronze Premium with the
CSH through his winnings in the jumper ring.
Zeno
attended the Canadian Warmblood and Sport Horse inspections in
2007. He received a 76.6% from CWB and an 81% from CSH both
inspection teams gave him 8's and 9's for his movement and free
jumping including a 9 for his gallop and 8.5 for his free jump! We are very excited to see what the future holds for this lovely young stallion.
His Sire: Quattro B
goes back to two of the greatest Selle Francais stallions of all
time Galoubet and H Alme Z. He was successfully competed at the
Grand Prix level of Show Jumping and now is doing upper level
Dressage. His offspring show his spectacular gaits but they also
inherit Quattro’s beautiful type and jumping ability. He has
offspring successful in both Grand Prix jumping and Dressage
including Much Ado, Quantum Tyme and Quicksilber. In 2004 Quattro
had two offspring selected for the Olympics in Athens: Quando Quando
for dressage and Oliver Q for jumping. Quattro has proven to be a
true all around producer of the highest level.
His Dam:
Odessa has already produced two stallion offspring who have been selected for
the 70 day test. This coupled with her own sport achievements has
earning her Keur Preferent Predikaat. Her sire Burggraaf has
produced countless approved stallions and international level horses
including S’blief ridden by Leslie Burr-Howard in show jumping and
Louisville for Grand Prix Dressage. Her dam Kartouche jumped at
national level and produced both national level show jumpers as well
as approved stallions. Odessa comes from a strong mother line of top
producing, good minded, athletic performance horses.
Zeno's first foals have
arrived he is improving the top-line, making the back and hind end
connection stronger as well as adding suspension to the gaits.
They all have their fathers great shoulder and big powerful hind end
with very good legs. And from all accounts have their fathers
wonderful temperament and kind demeanour.
