Talmé
is a very modern type stallion with an excellent top line and strong
hind end connection. He shows excellent use of the hind leg and
nice flat front end for the hunters. His jump is very athletic with
good technique front and back and very scopey - he received a nine
for his scope at his licensing.
In
2008 Talme started the year in Arizona where he had several clear
rounds and top ten finishes up to 1.2m . He then continued in
the 1.2m jumpers becoming champion at Amberlea. Talme moved up to the 1.3m
competing in his first national level Grand Prix with only on rail
down. He has proven
to be a quick and careful jumper who can also compete in the hunter
ring at the same show.
Talme's first foals are all that we had hoped for they are very
consistent in type with excellent heads and necks, strong backs and
hind end connection and with Talme's inquisitive nature. He adds
length of leg producing his amazing canter. He also adds height to his foals and all are bay. His
offspring are proving to be both very nice movers and good, scopey
jumpers and when he is crossed with a more hunter type mare he is
producing hunter movers and when crossed with a dressage bred mares
is producing very talented dressage prospects.
Talmés sire Wellington earned his Keur predikaat by siring many Ster
and Keur mares and approved stallions like Emilion, Farrington and
Glennridge. Wellington is by Nimmerdor who was named the "Stallion
of the Century" in 1999 by the Dutch Warmblood Association in
Holland. Nimmerdor has produced some of the best show jumpers and
most influential stallions in the modern warmblood era. The list
includes Heartbreaker, Ahorn, Goodtimes, Wellington and many more.
Talmés
dam Valmé Kerrelec has been awarded the Prestpredikaat in jumping
for producing at least three offspring who have competed
successfully at or above 1.20m level in show jumping. This award is
very sought after by the Dutch breeders as very few mares are
awarded this Predikaat. She is by the legendary H. Almé Z who has
been on the top of the jumping index for many years along with
Nimmerdor. Nykio is known as a foundation sire of the Selle
Francais and is on the mother line of show jumping greats such as I
Love You, a 3/4 brother to Valmé Kerrelec, who was successfully
ridden by Norman Dello Joio. Rantzau xx is the sire of the
Holsteiner phenom Cor de la Bryere and is on the mother line of
Rodrigo Pessoa's THREE time World Cup Champion Baloubet Du Rouet.
