Tacorde
is an easy going, laid back stallion with a wonderful character. He is very
substantial with the right amount of bone for his huge frame and enough chrome
to not be missed. He is one of the few Concorde sons available via fresh semen
in North America. Tacorde is also a very athletic horse with perfect jumping
technique and a ton of scope over the fences; jumping is definitely in his
blood.
Tacorde had another
amazing year in 2010 he started off at the Brandon Winter Fair where
he placed 2nd in the dog and horse relay and then finished the week
off with an impressive 6th place in the Atco Cup Grand Prix at
1.45m. He then went to the Spruce Meadows 'National' and
placed in the top 15 in the 1.40m open. He continued to
improve during the 'Continental' where he competed for the first
time in the FEI 1.45m division, he was consistently in the top half
of the field. He then had two local shows where he placed 2nd
in the grand prix one week and had just one time fault in the other
grand prix.
Tacorde then went out to
Thunderbird Show Park for the first time and stepped up to the
challenges there. He started with a clear in the 1.40m grand
prix the first week and finished that week off with an impressive
round in the 1.50m Thunderbird Legacy Grand Prix. The second
week he jumped three great rounds at 1.45m, 1.50m and then finished
off in the Keg Grand Prix 1.60m world cup qualifier, he bounded
around the course like a seasoned veteran. This was the first
time for both Tacorde and his rider Lorrie Jamieson at or above
1.50m!
Tacorde has proven
that he has the ability to be a top international horse and he is
producing exceptional offspring as well that excel as jumpers.
They inherit his innate jumping ability, his incredible temperament
and his wonderful work ethic. His offspring are substantial
with excellent hind ends and super nice 'huntery' canters. He
crosses very well with blood type mares who are bred to jump. His
mature offspring are over 16hh and so far none have matured over
17hh, they are substantial but not too big and yes he has put Chrome
on every one of them!
Tacorde's sire Olympic Concorde was named Horse of the Year in
Holland in 2003. Concorde is the number one producer of show
jumpers by money won in the USA in 2002 with his offspring earning
nearly $200,000 in 2002 on the American show jumping circuit. He is
also listed on the top ten for show jumper stallions world wide.
Tacorde's Dam Narcis W is by the immensely popular Goodtimes.
Goodtimes has produced many successful horses in both the jumper and
dressage rings and several approved stallions. Goodtimes is known
for producing offspring with excellent conformation, good looks and
athleticism for any discipline. Narcis W's grand sire on the bottom
is Damiro who is known for adding tractable minds and more great
athletic ability.
Tacorde is approved with the Canadian Warmblood and has received his
Silver Premium with the Canadian Sport Horse Association from his wins in the Jumper ring.
